Enrolment & Eligibility
Who is eligible for SEHIS?
Category A (compulsory): All serving state government employees and current MLAs.
Category B (voluntary): Retired employees, pensioners, ex-MLAs, AIS officers, board/corporation
employees, university staff. Category C: Registered advocates under Jharkhand Advocates Welfare
Fund. Dependents (spouse, children up to 25 yrs if unemployed, unmarried/widowed daughters,
dependent parents) are also covered.
How do I get a SEHIS Health Card?
Register at sehis.jharkhand.gov.in → Apply → Submit required documents → Approval by
DDO/competent authority → Health Card generated within 7 working days. Card can be downloaded from
the portal or collected from the district office.
What is the SEHIS helpline number?
The toll-free SEHIS helpline is 1800-3455-027. It is available during working hours.
You can also raise a support ticket through this portal for 24/7 tracking.
Coverage & Benefits
What is the sum insured under SEHIS?
General cases: ₹5 lakh per family per year. Critical/serious illnesses (as per Annex-A
list): ₹10 lakh. Category A & B beneficiaries: ₹10 lakh+ with additional provisions. Air ambulance
is covered in special circumstances. Ref: Sankalp dated 24-01-2025.
Are pre-existing diseases covered?
Yes. SEHIS covers pre-existing diseases from day one of policy activation. There is no
exclusion for pre-existing conditions for enrolled beneficiaries.
Which critical illnesses are covered under Annex-A?
The updated list includes cancer treatments, cardiac surgeries, organ transplants,
neurological procedures, and other serious conditions. Download Sankalp_annexa.pdf from the

Claims & Hospitals
How do I find empanelled (network) hospitals?
Use the Hospital Search section in this portal, or visit
sehis.jharkhand.gov.in/home/hospital-details. You can search by district, city, or speciality. For
assistance call 1800-3455-027.
What if my claim is rejected?
Raise a grievance ticket through the portal or contact your District Coordinator (see
sehis.jharkhand.gov.in/home/district/cordinator). Unresolved grievances can be escalated to the
Executive Director, JSAS within 7 working days.
Within how many days must I submit a reimbursement claim?
Reimbursement claims must be submitted within 90 days of discharge from the hospital.
Ensure all original documents (bills, discharge summary, prescriptions, doctor's certificate) are
included.
